Privacy Policy for GPShopper, LLC (d/b/a Slifter)

Effective Date: January 5, 2006

Our Policy.

GPShopper, LLC (d/b/a Slifter) ("Company", we", or "us") respects and understands its users' concerns about confidentiality and privacy, and we take reasonable steps to ensure that any information you give to us is handled in a safe and responsible manner. Because of our respect and understanding, we have developed this Privacy Policy which discloses the privacy practices of the Company and describes the information we collect about you during your use of the Slifter application ("Application") and what use we may make of that information.

It is important to remember that by using the Application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. We suggest that you refer to this Privacy Policy on a regular basis as it may change, at any time in the Company's sole discretion, in order to allow us to take advantage of any technological advances or for business purposes or legal reasons.

Information That We May Collect.

We collect your information in different areas of the Application. The exact information collected varies depending on how the Application is used by you. For example, as a registered user, you consent to the tracking and storage of any data transmitted through the Application, including, without limitation, name, email address, zip code, mobile number, search results, shopping lists or any other personal data, by the Company in the Company's database and the Company's use of your personal data for its internal and marketing purposes. Further, if you use the Application as an unregistered user, your mobile number may be stored in text file data logs, but will not be linked in any way to your product or service searches and will not be used by the Company to send text messages or for any other purpose. Note that any personal information (whether in connection with a registered or unregistered user), which was lawfully obtained by the Company from a third party having rights to distribute such personal data (through your prior consent, or otherwise), prior to and/or independent of any data submitted through the Application by you or a third party, may be used by the Company for any reason, including, without limitation, the sending of text messages.

In the course of using the Application, we may also automatically track certain information about you. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on the Application or not), which URL you go to next (whether this URL is on the Application or not), what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol (IP) address. Many sites automatically collect this information. We do not collect or use this information to create a profile about you, except in certain limited cases for registered users. We may also decide to use cookies on certain pages of the Application. Cookies can help us provide information which is targeted to your interests. Cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on the Application. Most cookies are "session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted at the end of a session.

Our Use of Your Information.

We internally use personally identifiable information to improve our goods and services, to statistically analyze Application usage, to improve our content, to customize the Application's content and layout and for other customer service purposes. We believe these uses allow us to improve the Application and better tailor it to meet our users' needs. We may also disclose or use personally identifiable information to investigate and respond to any violations of the Terms of Use.

We do not sell, lend or rent any personally identifiable information about you to any third parties outside of the Company, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, authorized agents and service providers, operating companies and other related entities. We only disclose information to third parties when it is reasonably necessary in order to allow us to provide information, goods or services that have been requested by users.

We may also use personally identifiable information to deliver information that, in some cases, is targeted to your needs and interests, such as promotional e-mails, targeted banners and promotions. If you are a registered user, you may receive text messages from us announcing services, product information, promotional events or updates to the Application. Unregistered users may receive a text message initiated by a third party's use of the Slifter Application. If you do not wish to receive text messages, you may opt-out by (i) emailing your mobile number to optout@slifter.com, or (ii) sending a text message from your mobile device using the Company's text message short code 75438 with keyword OUT. Any mobile number submitted to the opt-out email or text message short code shall be placed on the Do not send list and will no longer receive text messages from the Company.

In the event our company is ever sold, we reserve the right to transfer ownership of our mobile device number list and other personally identifiable information to the acquiring company. Should this happen, we will instruct the new owners of the company to contact users via their mobile devices to notify you of the change.

We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you as required by law, including voluntary disclosures to law enforcement agencies and government officials, as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate.

Unfortunately, due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. By way of example (without limiting the foregoing), third parties may unlawfully intercept or access files, transmissions or private communications. Therefore, although we use industry standard practices to protect personally identifiable information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personally identifiable information or private communications will always remain private.

WE DO NOT CONDONE, ENCOURAGE OR PERMIT ANY USER OF THE APPLICATION TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION OF ANY THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, SUCH THIRD PARTY'S MOBILE DEVICE NUMBER, WITHOUT SUCH USER OBTAINING THE EXPLICIT PERMISSION - EITHER ORALLY, ON PAPER OR ELECTRONICALLY - OF SUCH THIRD PARTY. SENDING UNSOLICITED TEXT MESSAGES TO A THIRD PARTY IS ILLEGAL, AND WHILE WE STRONGLY DISCOURAGE SUCH ACTIVITY AND ARE WILLING, IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION, TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION AGAINST ANY USERS ENGAGED IN SUCH ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, THERE MAY BE INSTANCES WHEN THIS ACTIVITY WILL OCCUR. IF YOU BELIEVE YOUR INFORMATION, INCLUDING YOUR MOBILE DEVICE NUMBER, HAS BEEN DISCLOSED WITHOUT YOUR EXPLICIT PERMISSION, PLEASE NOTIFY US IMMEDIATELY SO THAT WE MAY TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.

Third Party Collectors of Information.

Our Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that your information is disclosed by you to third parties, whether our clients, service providers, advertisers or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of your information. These third parties adhere to their own privacy customs and policies. Because we do not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that third party. We do not make any representations or warranties as to how such third parties may use your information.
